The 36 Streets of the Old Quarter

Whether exploring on a tour or visiting on your own, the 36 Streets are a must to see. The streets are divided into trades and products which are sold from historic shop houses.

As you wander around this bustling area, you will find streets devoted to silver, toys and paper, shoes, jewellery, herbal medicine, and tombstones. Fruit and vegetable markets pop up along the sidewalk and shops selling colourfully wrapped sweets line the streets.

Walking through the back alleys you will find small street food stalls which get busy with locals throughout the day. Colours flash before your eyes and your senses are filled with the sound of street vendors selling their wares and the blast of motorbike horns.

When you explore the 36 Streets it is easy to get distracted with each new turn, so make sure to pay attention to where you are going as it is easy to get lost.
