Want to know about us? The Step Into Vietnam website is owned and operated by Rosalind & Alan Cuthbertson. A married couple with a passion for travel. We have visited many Asian countries including Vietnam where we have spent extended periods of time exploring many regions from north to south Vietnam. We have emersed ourselves in the Vietnamese culture and experienced unforgettable locations which are not always on the typical travel itinerary.

Our wealth of Vietnam knowledge

Over the years from personal experience we have built a wealth of knowledge on Vietnam to share, on how to get the most out of travelling within Vietnam.

Step Into Vietnam focuses on all forms of travel from short stays to longer trips and includes a variety of travel styles from budget to luxury, unique cultural experiences and personal advice gained from our firsthand knowledge.    

Vietnam is a vast country with so much to see. Our aim is to highlight the best places of interest and how to get the most out of your trip for a short visit or longer stay. Whether you are travelling alone, as a couple, or a family with kids, we offer advice on the places that should not be missed at the various locations we visit, together with general travel advice. We also review useful travel gear that we have personally tested.

Where we’ve lived/Travelled in Vietnam

We visit Vietnam multiple times each year and have lived for extended periods with each visit. During our visits we like to travel slow spending often months at a time in a single location, which allows us immerse ourselves in the local culture.

During our travels, we have learnt what works and what doesn’t, and our aim is to share with you experience we have gained from many years of travel.  

Being semi-retired we have the flexibility of travelling at short notice and have in the past worked with destination and experience providers to highlight locations and experiences throughout Vietnam and further abroad.
